| Every parent asks this
question. When your baby is one minute and five minutes old, he/she
will be given a score (Apgar Score) by the nurse, your care-giver or a
pediatrician. This tells everyone how well the baby is doing.
The usual Apgar score is 8/9 or 9/9 for a healthy baby. This means
the baby had a score at one minute of age of 8 or 9, and at five minutes
of age had a score of 9. Points are usually taken off for the baby's
color. The chart will show the scoring is done. |
