HOW IT WORKS:
The tube that carries the sperm is cut and then tied or cauterized. This prevents the sperm from being ejaculated. No sperm - no pregnancy. Must have two test before sterility guaranteed.  There is a new "No-Scalpel" Technique being used.

Varies depending on your location.  There are costs for visits, surgery, sperm counts, and other lab procedures.  Some insurance policies do cover the procedure.
ADVANTAGES:
One time decision, doesn't interfere with erection or ejaculation. No known side effects. Doesn't interfere with spontaneity.
DISADVANTAGES:
Permanent.  Surgical procedure required. Some discomfort at the time of procedure.  Only should be chosen if absolutely sure no more children or no children are wanted.
HOW TO USE IT:
After a local anesthetic is given, the doctor surgically cuts the vas deferens, or tube that carries the sperm, and then ties it off; places an occlusive clip on it; or cauterizes it.  For details, please contact your doctor.  Please see the additional information section.
