| PLEASE NOTE: Always
check with your own health care giver before using emergency contraception,
even if you have the pills from a previous episode of failed contraception. |

THE
FIRST STEP
The
FIRST STEP in using any emergency contraception is to do a pregnancy test.
Various pregnancy tests have different ways of showing positive (you're
pregnant) and negative (you're NOT pregnant) results. If you are
PREGNANT, call your health care provider immediately. DO NOT TAKE ANY PILLS.
If you are not pregnant, go to the next step and choose an emergency contraceptive.
(PREVEN®, the newly approved "Morning After Pill" has a pregnancy test
as part of the kit.) |
THE
NEXT STEP
| If you have a NEGATIVE pregnancy test,
choose the Emergency Contraceptive Method you want to use. |
